Winter For Days - Bardot April Lookbook

Platform 2

We went for a stroll around beautiful Emerald Lake, passing by the only original station intact on the historic Puffing Billy line. Usually filled with tourists, the platform remained unexpectedly quiet on this afternoon. This polka dot midi skirt is so comfortable and flattering with its fluted style and side pockets.

Spring Fashion Week Style

I would say that lace is back but honestly did it ever leave us? One of my first ever blog posts four years ago was discussing the trend of black lace. In years gone by the trend has matured with us, with silhouettes changing to a much more wearable midi length for this Spring. A much classier length while still showing a little skin, it's the perfect balance.

For Melbourne Spring Fashion Week I wore this look from Bardot with heels from Wittner. The Lumi heel features laser cut details in black suede and a comfortable heel height for a day in the city.

The Speckle Jacket

For the Spring Style runway at MSFW a few weeks ago I wore this printed blazer from Bardot. Keeping it classic in head to toe black and white, I paired it with a silk tee from Sportsgirl and skinny high rise jeans from Bardot. This tote bag from Myer Miss Shop has become my everyday essential, somehow fitting my endless list of items. Do I need dry shampoo and a hairbrush with me at all times? Maybe not but they fit.

Monochrome

This year Olivia Palermo returns as the face for Chadstones Icons of Style, alongside her new husband Johannes. On Friday evening Chadstone hosted their Australian designer trend edit with Olivia taking us through her picks for the Spring Summer '14 season. I'll share further insights to the night in an upcoming post. 

During the interview, Olivia stated one of her key items is a blazer. Fortunately at the time I was wearing this crisp white blazer from Bardot. I was always fearful of wearing white in the past but I've realised it can be worth the risk and if chosen for the right events can magically stay clean. 
Note: Best not to wear white anywhere that involves alcohol.

The Wolf & I

A few weeks back I was invited to The Wolf and I on Chapel street in Windsor, with Denver Styles for what can only be described as one of the best meals I've ever had. Ordering the vegetarian risotto, I was surprised and delighted when the plate was placed in front of me. At first questioning if it was the correct meal since I've never seen a risotto cake before. The Wolf and I certainly offer more than regular pub food. We then had a peak upstairs at the newly renovated cocktail lounge.

Bardot August Lookbook

Each year August brings the goods by offering new spring products, while we sit back and wait for the weather to play catch up. Well this year is no different with Bardot introducing girly twin sets in the form of bustiers and crops paired with shorts, midi and flip skirts.

The essential stripe continues into the new season, in fresh silhouettes for a dressier take on the trend.
