Today was a big shopping day for me, with a couple of clearance vintage pop up sales on. Amazing pieces at unbelievable prices, what's not to love.
These racks of sequin pieces were the first to catch my eye. This meant I had to carry the heavy sequins around for the next hour while I looked at the many other racks. My arms are so sore...this was my workout for the week!
For crazy sales like this, it's good to wear comfortable clothes. I wore this Asos top which was delivered earlier in the week, nice and light weight silk. Worn with my Sportsgirl skirt, gold collar and Forever New sling.
I ended up buying 18 dresses, including 5 sequin ones! I'll share the items I bought with you later on but for now here's a sneak peek at some of the vintage glitter goodness.

Chadstone Runway
On Wednesday as part of LMFF, the fashion capital held one of their great VIP days with lots of special offers. The night included two runway parades showcasing various brands from Chadstone which I happily sat to watch after spending hours working and shopping. I think all up I spent around 11 hours at Chadstone!
Key trends from the two runway shows.
Bold prints
1) Camilla and Marc dress, Tony Bianco from Santini shoes 2) Romance was Born from David Jones dress 3) Thurley dress, Aldo shoes 4) Nicola Finetti from Myer dress, Aldo shoes 5) Country Road dress, Steve Madden shoes
I love the Camilla and Marc kinda fruity/floral shift dress, the same print as the one from my last post at LMFF opening night runway. I also mentioned in that post I loved the Romance was Born collection which included this second dress pictured. Prints like this work great with blocks of colour, for the runway show the prints were paired with bright coloured coats, clutches, shoes, even a touch of bright lipstick or nails can finish the look. LMFF Opening Night
Thursday night was the opening event for L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. The first half of the night was spent outside, kind of a block party full of fashion folks. Then we made our way inside for the runway show presented by David Jones, including many of their brands.
I took along the lovely Casey, a fellow Sportsgirl who's brand new to the blogging world. You can find her blog here.
Snapped with a couple of Sportsboys. We want this car!
I was wearing this animal print sequin skirt from Sportsgirl- the disco mini skirt. I wanted to pick one great statement piece and then keep the rest pretty simple. Whenever I wear extra short skirts like this one, I pair them with loose shirts to even it out.
Also wearing - Sportsgirl multi chain plait collar, Sportsgirl black shirt, gold nail polish, ring and bronze cuff from Colette accessories, heels from Santini.
The first half of the runway was mostly neutral colours so I was happy when these bold colours and prints came down the runway. Romance was Born and Camilla and Marc were standouts for me.
LMFF is going on all this week so if you want to go to any events you can find the festival planner here. Enjoy the long weekend x
